| Our Tribal Court Judge James Wayne Shepherd
is a descent of Chief Opechancanough who was uncle to Pocahontas. Chief
Opechancanough followed The Way of the Bow.
Chief Opechancanough Was so famous with His Hugh Powerful bow and able to shoot faster than the Pilgrims could load their black powder guns that this Engraving Was make of Chief Opechancanough with Captain John Smith. Judge Shepherd runs our Tribal Museum at Mammoth Springs, AR. There you can see all the documents Judge Shepherd has showing his link to this famous Archer. The Way of the Bow, Chief AJ on
Aug. 31, ’97 the day He became the World Strongest Archer of World
History pulling a 200# Yew Long Bow. This World Record Event was live on
the Internet and written up in Archery Magazines around the World. The
Story of Pulling the bow of history was in 14 languages. It took Chief
AJ 12 full seconds to get the Heavy Bow pulled back to full strength and
then the arrow passed though a metal bucket of sand and then through 12
pine boards. Note: How similar the 1644 Bow of Chief Opechancanough and the
1997 Bow of Chief AJ are.
