THE WAY OF THE BOW ( member photos at bottom, send in your bow hunt photos)

For twenty-two years now Chief AJ has been our Native American Tribal Court Judge. Our "Indian" tribe (Cherokee Band) is all about THE WAY OF THE BOW. During the past twenty-two years Chief AJ has done a lot exploited with His Bow. Before we get into deeds lets us explain by what we mean by THE WAY OF THE BOW. The way of bow is to one with the woods. To be able to be at home in the forest walking in beauty with the Creators’ gifts of plants and creators. To know what plants can sustain your life and what in the woods will sting you, bite you, scratch you and poison you.
THE WAY OF THE BOW, is to be able to blend into the woods with your bow in your hand and be one with brother Deer. To be able to shoot the arrow straight bring the noble best down quickly and then to lay the Deer's head on your bent knee and give the critter a little drink of water while you send him on to great things in the cosmos. The way of the bow is to be able to feed your family, defend your tribe and live by the code of the straight arrow. Not many years ago out grandfathers lived by the bow. Their skill with the bow was life itself. The tribal member that was good at making fine bows had a high place of honor, that is what we mean by THE WAY OF THE BOW.
The way of the Bow must be passed on to our young even thought they see little need of archery skills. Now people want to learn "Indian Ways" like dancing, medicine and sacred ceremonies but have forgotten that our forefathers danced after their belly's were filled, filled by the Bow. It is hard to dance filled only with hunger. Our Chief AJ has spent much time teaching the way of the bow to young Native Children and any children that will listen. At a Native American village in Alaska He brought in the first Bow harvest Buck in 50 years and told the local children all about their Heritage in the way of the bow.
We may not have the same feeling as those before us taking to the woods with our bow in hand but you be sure that many times in the forest stalking deer you have been in touch with your ancestors. For when that arrow is released from the string and you watch the flight to the target
you are experiencing what man has for thousands and thousands of years. You know what it feels like to make that sweet shot and that is just how good it felt many moons back.
We "Indains" shoot many styles of bows. Recurves of course, a few compounds and many short flatbows for shooting our of our canoes or off a horse. For real power the way is the Chief AJ Loge Take Down Bow. Our Chief AJ has used this bow for the past 6 years setting World Records and taking Big Game animals. This light weight bow is only 22 inches taken down and 60 inches assembled. Chief AJ has shot through all animals He has used it on. Two of our tribal members watch Chief AJ bring down a running Black tailed Buck with His Logo Bow. At 55 long steps He dropped a deer dead on the spot with this bow that you can now own a model of. Early this season Chief AJ brought in a big doe with this "Indian Bow". To help you with THE WAY OF THE Chief’s head is engraved into the riser (handle) looking down range to guide the arrow straight and true. You can follow the way of the bow with the Chief AJ Logo bow for $170.00 plus postage or pick one up directly from the Chief. POB 131, Tuscola, IL 61953 MORE
