Introduction of the Daisy Chief AJ Special Edition Instinct Shooting BB Gun was on June 4, 2005.
The City of Tuscola of Illinois make special provisions for boy & girls to learn Guns Safety & Marksmanship with the new Daisy product at Wimple Park. Boy Scout Troop 80 opened the Introduction Festivities by presenting the Colors and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Untied States of American. Persiala Dorsett lead the 1,800 people present in singing the Nation Anthem.
Since the Chief AJ Daisy bb gun is Native American orientated the Marking Official of Daisy, Rogers AR, Joe Murfin appointed Cherokee Tribal Chief James Walks Tall Shepard from Cherokee Tribal Headquarters Ravenden Springs, AR to officially unveil the new adult sized instinct shooting bb designed by World Champion Shooter, Chief AJ.
At 10:10AM under the big top tent set up in Wimple Park, Tuscola, Illinois Chief Walks Tall in one big swiping motion removed the colorfully Indian blanket from Chief AJ bb gun Number 01 to applause of the large crowd.
225 boys and girls lined up for the gun safety lecture by 8 Range Officers from Guns Save Life based in Savoy, IL. Only when the young people had passed a Safety Pop Quiz did they get the Chief’s Head hand stamp that allowed them to advance to the firing line.
On the firing line the young shooters had shatter blast clay targets to break and moving targets to hit over and over again in front of 50 bails of straw. One 9 year old girl after hitting here first moving target when on to hit 40 in a row before her arm got tired.
On June 1, 2005 Daisy at their Neosho, MO plant produced the first 100 AJ guns and the gun received a grand introduction on June 4, 2005. Since that big day in the park Chief AJ has taught Gun Safety and Marksmanship to over 1000 boys and girls. Those first 100 AJ’s were given as prizes and sold that day in the park.
