Sights or No Sights

Chief AJ hears this a lot now there are several hundred of the Daisy Chief AJ Instinct Shooting BB are spread across the USA. Some say that a true Instinct Shooter BB gun should not have sights and World Champion Chief AJ use the sights doing instinct shooting. He is gong to give many reasons why is a little bit.

People tell AJ that the Lucky McDainel BB guns had no sights. Yet, AJ has a Lucky McDainel BB with sights. Some did have sights and some did not. Lucky taught Instinct shooting both ways.

AJ can go both ways with and without sights for close in shooting.

The way that AJ teaches Quick Point shooting works very well with sights and that has a great advantage.

1. Not all factory barrels are true and shoot straight and need sight adjustment

2. No sight shooting works very well on a warm summer day with good lighting at close range.

The way that AJ teaches Quick Point Shooting with sights holds up for taking running shots at over 400 years at -30 degrees below freezing with low light. What this means is that a person learning Quick Point Shooting the Chief's way it taking Quick Point Shooting to a new level of particle field shooting.

For 19 years now Chief AJ has conducted his Rifle Camp where he coaches Quick Point Shooting with .22 Rifles that have a shotgun rib down the barrel for a sighting plane. Rifles with open sights and center fire rifles with forward mounted scout scopes. During the World Record Shoot of '87 Chief AJ fired 40,060 shots instantly with out a miss with .22 rifles with open sights at flying targets in the air. Since then Chief AJ has burned over two million rounds (2,000,000) at Rifle Camp. He has taken Bear, White tailed Deer, Caribou, Big Horn Sheep, Black tailed Deer from Florida to Alaska. The Chief shoots standing on his hind legs like a man. He identifies the target in the field and has a projectile flying down range to the mark as soon as the Rifle but touches His shoulder. That is the practical Quick Point field shooting that AJ teaches and built the Daisy AJ instinctive shooting BB gun to learn and practice with.
