Todate I have taught 1,850 people to handle the Scout Rifle here at Rifle Training
Camp. I known from hands-on experience that a fast way to learn the Scout Rifle
is with one of my Ruger 10/22 Scout Trainers.
I start with a stock 10/22, do a trigger job, hand lap bore, retrofit bedding, jewel the action, install the scout mount on the barrel just in the right place and then put on the Scout Scope:

this configuration on the 10/22 I can teach customers to do real Scout Rifles
shooting in a day.
Since the 10/22 is a semi-auto we do not spend much time working a bolt to learn shooting. I use the banana mags and auto loaders to speed up the learning process.
Over the years I have developed a progressive system to teach Scout Rifle Shooting which is moving target marksman. To find out this system you will haft to come to camp. As soon as I have taught the client how to handle the Scout 10/22 we move on to .223 Scout, .308 and even the dangerous game scouts.

2. Mount the rifle while watching the target run, hop or fly.
3. Have a sight picture on the moving target.
4. Have a bullet going downrange the instance the rifle butt hits your shoulder.
