By Cheif AJ's Trial Work Shop: Way back in '86 Chief AJ set out to break a World Shooting Record on Aerial Targets and wanted to this with the Ruger 10/22. He borrowed 18, 10/22 rifles from Ruger Collectors and went to the range to practice only to fine all 18 shot in a different way and to a different place. The factory trigger pull was to harsh to do fine shooting with, let alone a World Record on flying small targets in the air. The Chief spent six (6) months learning how to make all 18 rifle shoot the same, be user friendly, accurate and have a 3# trigger let off.
After Chief AJ broke the old record of 38,645 straight flying targets with a .22 rifle by hitting 40,060 straight without a miss He retuned the borrow rifles to their owners. People began shooting this 18 trick out slicked up 10/22 and want another 10/22 tuned "Just Like the Chief used in the World Record Shoot": So, the Delux Fine Tune Job was born 20 years ago in '87.
Above is actual work target for a Deluxe Fine Tune Job showing what all is involved in this Rifle Work. The Chief jewels the action as you can see on the bolt, 3# trigger job w/over travel stop, Retrofit bedding, Snap mag rel & Quick blot rel, Muzzle crown ( crown is everything). Then AJ shoots a Test or Work Target to check his work and make use your 10/22 is putting 10 shots under a dime at 25 yrds. (This is a old time test for accuracy). The Official Target is retuned to you with your 10/22 autographed by Chief AJ with the Great Tribal Seal.
To Perennially show that your Ruger 10/22 has been tuned by the Chief AJ the Chief Electrically etches His logo into the metal of your barrel. This puts your Ruger 10/22 into the Blue Book of Gun Values.
