RIFLE TRAINING CAMP
|
The Central Illinois Rifle Camp Opens March 21. Chief AJ has great location here in Central IL that is completely private.
Rifle Training Camp is Progressive Accelerated Marksmanship . During the past 56 years of Rifle shooting Chief AJ has developed a unique method of teaching Rifle Marksmanship and does this in a program developed over the past 12 years. This has come about because Chief has had so many shooting coaches himself.Back in the ‘40’s the young AJ had a coach named Mr. York that was very patience teaching Jr. NRA four position rifle shooting. Mr. York led his young shooters to a Illinois State Championship. Next came the ROTC shooting coach that would just watch the Chief shoot and then offer suggestions. With the ROTC shooting team Chief AJ got to fly to Rifle Matches all over the USA. The next coaches were on the Chief like a full diaper on a baby, there were the USMC rifle shooting instructors. Chief AJ was taught that to miss is to die in combat. These coaches taught Chief AJ, 1000 yards shooting. These Marine Rifle Shooting Instructors were very strict on slings, position, sight picture, trigger control and breathing. Next was the finesse of the US Olympic Shooting Coach that taught Chief AJ how to hit the Running Boar Olympic Event. This coach was soft spoken and explained over and over just how to hit a moving target. Then during the winter of ’86 & ’87 Chief AJ shot for 5 hours each day rain, sleet or snow. Shooting at flying small wooden blocks in the air with .22 rifles. Then in March of ’87 at Lost Valley Lake deep in the Ozark Hills Chief AJ during 8 days of shooting hit 40,060 straight aerial targets to set a record. After this came Chief AJ’s Alaskan Hunting Trips were he learned filed skills with a rifle to take big game under sever conditions. Out of all these shooting experiences Chief AJ has developed Rifle Training Camp with a series of lessons coupled with special targets to match. There is very little classroom and mostly in the field shooting, shooting and more shooting. Stating with one mount and one shot to hitting 55 mph flying targets with a single rifle ball. Now Chief AJ has a Camp that goes year round rain or shine. Camp is one day long and at the end of the Rifle Camp day you will have pushed your rifle shooting to high new levels. E-mail the Chief for the next opening..chiefaj@yahoo.com Now take a look at RTC. |
