Quick Point Adventures
It was back in 1986 that Chief AJ became obsessed with Instinct or Quick Point Shooting.
The Chief browed 18 Ruger 10/22 rifles from His Ruger collector friends and began to shot and shot learning to see the target, mound and hit the target in an instant. For .22 ammo Chief AJ traded off His pocket knife collection. Then Ruger collector John Hansen of Hansen Cartridge sent 100,000 .22 lr rounds to Chief AJ and told the Chief to set a World Instinct Shooting Record. After 6 months of shooting every day at tossed blocks in the air the Chief was ready. He went to Lost Valley Lake Resort deep in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri to shoot and shoot. GUNS Magazine sent a photographer/reported to cover the event to get the exclusive story just in case the Chief came through. HE DID! 40,060 flying targets without a miss.
As
soon as this GUNS magazine hit the news stands people contacted Chief AJ to
teach them Quick Point shooting. So, Chief AJ started a Rifle Training Camp and
trained over 3,000 people in person The Chief AJ way of championship Quick Point
Shooting. For 22 years since 1987 the Chief ran Rifle Training Camp and then He
put his Quick Point principles into On -Line internet lessons that people can
see and read then shoot along with. This has reached over 3 Million people now.
SIDE NOTE: Recently The Decatur, IL newspaper "Herald & Review" sent a reporter and photographer to Chief AJ's home in Tuscola, IL and told the 70 year old man that if He could still shoot they would do a "story" on Him.
