Instructions for Slingshot Shooting from 1949
The following instructions came with the mail order Wham-O back in ’49 (word for word)
HOW TO SHOOT
Important – How to hold – Grasp the handle on the slingshot with three fingers and brace the thumb and forefinger up and around the forks. This is the proper method of holding as it reduces the strain of the rubber straps on your hand. We recommend holding the Wham-O at a side angle of 45o and sighting over the upper fork.

Back in 1949 the Wham-O company got it right about turning the slingshot to shoot more horizontal than vertical. The two major bones in your forearm are more comfortable turned inward than forced to be held vertical. Chief AJ proved this in doing 1000 aimed shots in one day during the Guinness World Record Slingshot Shoot.

Now comes the Ergo Wham-O that has a place to put your thumb and forefinger on the forks, for LH or RH shooting depending on which the flat bands are installed.

Testing: At 10 meters on Turkey Head Target with Red Paint Ball just because the NSA is going on a Turkey Hunt soon with slingshots. Chief AJ says that this is like shooting His 1949 Wham-O but feels so comfortable in your hand. Available soon!!!
The gripping knob on the bottom of the Handle is Human Kinetically (Kinetics study of the human body in action) correct. Now, here is applied science: The human grip works best with something that is a little bigger at the bottom than the top. Since the 4th and 5th fingers (ulna side) are weaker - they do better with a slightly larger grip diameter.
Now you thought that Chief
AJ was just a another pretty face, Nope, the Chief has applied Human Kinetics
and sports Physiology to Slingshot Frames and shooting. Chief AJ did not do this
by being a desk jockey sitting in front of a flat screen monitor but field
shooting R & D. During the summer of ‘08 the Chief shot over 36,000 rounds of
