News Flash - Science Helps Prove Bible

On CBS morning show Sunday, January 13, 2002 there was a short clip about the color of the universe.

Ever since I read in Jeremiah 5:28 that the heavens were made black, I have wondered what the color the night skies were before they were made black.

Jeremiah 5:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

When reading Ezekiel 1:22 we find mention of the color of the firmament above being the same color as the terrible crystal.

Ezekiel 1:22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature, was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

:26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

The color of the throne is as the appearance of a sapphire stone, of course sapphire’s have many shades of blue, usually dark blue, but what was the color behind the throne, the color of the terrible crystal?

As reported on CBS 1/13/2002 the astronomers at John Hopkins University said this week that they analyzed the visible light from two hundred thousand galaxies and averaged all the colors together and what they came up with is that our universe turns out to be a shade of green somewhere between a medium aquamarine or a pale turquoise.

Everything we learn raises new questions, Why is the sky blue? Why is the universe green?

Why is the crystal terrible? How many kinds of crystals are teal green? Are gem stones considered crystals?
