75 yr old Chief AJ for the past few weeks has been pulling heavy tubes and His arms have grown one and one-half inches each.

7/9/12: A Professional Videographer came to The Tribal Workshop today and asked Chief AJ to shoot a fish off the Kaskaskia River Bridge on demand on camera. From 20' above the River the Chief "stoned" a Buffalo Carp in the head. The fish being about 25 foot out from the bridge swimming. The "stoned" Buffalo floated to surface. So, Chief AJ reeled the arrow in and shot the fish again as the current carried the fish towards the bridge. Then on camera AJ pulled the fish up:

At this time 7/9/12 it can not be reveled where the Video footage will be shown. 75 yr old Chief AJ makes the shot when it counts!!! 1/25/2012 NSA Names the 2011 "SHOOTER OF THE YEAR" Jeff Pearmain

Man of Valor, Jeff Pearmain who did what has not even been attempted before, set out to get a legal Black Bear with a slingshot. Fist He had to talk Fish & Game into a permit which took three attempts. Which permit obtained He had to make the shot. What courage it took to use a slingshot 4" wide, 7" tall and only 8 oz to shoot an arrow into a dangerous bear at very close range. Jeff made the pressure shot to bag the Bear and become the Fist Slingshot Shooter to earn the coveted NSA "SHOOTER OF THE YEAR" trophy. Congratulations to Champion Shooter Jeff Pearmain.

I live in Travelers Rest, which is just north of Greenville SC- near the mountains. I have been making custom slingshots for about a year now. I have been an avid traditional archer, hunter, fisherman, and lover of all things that shoot, cast, or catch for all my life. My interest in slingshots was revitalized when i picked up a Chief AJ WRS slingshot made by Flatband. I had never shot flats before, only wrist rockets and bean flips with stones. When i shot the flats with steel for the first time, i was astounded by the level of accuracy and power than was attainable. I have been hooked ever since and have turned my wood working efforts towards slingshots(see attached pictures). I also make longbows, turkey calls, tinker with blacksmithing and bladesmithing, and furniture.
