KASKASKIA RIVER ADVENTURE
For
Chief AJ, CEO of the National Slingshot Association this River adventure started
at 0540AM with slingshot in hand wading in an oxbow off the the Kaskaskia River
near Baldwin, IL. Gretchen Steele Outdoor writer/photographer was the Chief's
guide hunting fish in flooded weeds.

Gretchen and the Chief were joined by Bob Rutkowski of http://www.siloutdoors.com/ and Bob's two sons:

All day and late into that Thursday evening all were hunt and shooting fish in the oxbow of the main River. Even using a one of those small 2 person bass type boats.
Bob, check out His So. Illinois Web site about the outdoors http://www.siloutdoors.com/, suggested that Cheif AJ go out the next morning in the main Kaskaskia in Bob's boat.

On board was Bob's brother, Adam, Chief AJ and Cord. Bob
was using his recurve bow. Chief AJ, Cord and Adam were trading off with the HFX
slingshot. All three hit carp and gar with bowfishing AMS arrows out the Hunting
& Fishing slingshot. The Chief did made a good long shot on a gar:
